Musician Website Workshop: on the Web, Tues, Dec 12, 2012

.
Berklee College of Music is one of the best, and today they have a fresh offering in what has become an ongoing FREE series on the web.
.
The Acoustic Americana Music Guide strongly encourages musicians in all genres to make the time for this one. Music journalists are subjected to abominable self-promotion from artists and bands. Imagine how a potential fan feels when they go looking for a meaningful experience and encounter crap.
.
We have not seen the syllabus for this, but on the strength of who is presenting it, we expect it to be first-rate. And, it is FREE.
.
Tuesday, December 4, at 1 pm (Pacific), Berklee presents a free "Website Demolition Derby" in cooperation with Bandzoogle.
.
Instructor Mike King welcomes Bandzoogle's David Dufresne and Dave Cool to Berkleemusic's studio for a one-of-a-kind music business clinic.
.
Watch these experts totally destroy musician websites -- live -- for the best of all reasons: to make them indestructible!
.
Berklee's promo explains "The plan." First, an assessment. "Inspect: Design, organization, content, and functionality of a website." Then, "Deconstruct: Reviews will be ruthless and diplomacy will be left aside." Finally, "Upgrade: Learn about website best practices and how to avoid bad design, flash widgets, and unreadable fonts."
.

.
Berklee College of Music is accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC).

Thanks for your question about the Guide's seminar for artists, teaching "How to Work the Media." No dates are currently set, but it'll happen soon. We will post the date and details in the Acoustic Americana Music Guide. -- editor.
