Venue impresario BOB STANE says they are "SO GOOD. Not really a 'Western Act,' but a parody. A parody of a Western act is when the horse does not stomp you. This is good. Almost always, TV and voice-over stars stop by. Fun!"

In the past 14 months, Will and the band have introduced over 100 new songs on their weekly stint on "The David Feldman" comedy broadcast, heard throughout the nation on the Pacifica Radio Network and locally on KPFK, 90.7 FM (globally at www.kpfk.org).

These band members are award-winning, accomplished players and superb entertainers.

WILL RYAN, on guitar and lead vocals, concocts elaborate scenarios and crafts character voices and the world of Cactus County on stage. Honored for his songwriting with BMI's "Pioneer Award," Will has earned two Gold Records from the RIAA. His publicist adds, "Patti LaBelle, Mickey Mouse, the Pointer Sisters, Minnie Mouse, Goofy, and Mister T are a few of the black artists who have recorded his songs. The Grinch and several random Muppets are among the green performers who have lent their voices to his words and music."

WESTY WESTENHOFER, former opener for Julie Andrews and for the Smothers Brothers,handles bass, tuba and vocal duties with the band -- with all the subtle panache of a 21st Century Smiley Burnette. See Westy play tuba, both with and without benefit of a tuba.

"CHAPARRAL KATIE" CAVERA, the band's "Princess of the West," has the voice of an impish vixen and proves the banjo is a cousin to the harp with her heavenly solos.

The band likes to create mystery as to whether Djangostyle star guitarist JOHN " PRESTO" REYNOLDS, clarinetist "CACTUS CHLOE" FEORANZO, accordionist and GRAMMY winner "OXNARD IAN" WHITCOMB, and fiddlers "ARIZONA AUBREY" RICHMOND, and international star "Buckaroo" BENNY BRYDERN  will "mosey by." Unless someone is out of town, they always play as part of the band.

With Will Ryan being a highly successful voice actor, he always brings another character or two. Tonight, it's "Special Incan Guest" SLAPPY CHIPOTLE, who made his Los Angeles stand-up comedy debut with Will in December at the world-famous Improv in Hollywood.

Slappy's bizarre brand of native-American humor was an instant sensation. Has Will Ryan has gone out on a limb by calling Slappy "the funniest Incan comedian on two continents"-? Will says, "Visa permitting, Slappy will join the band for this one performance only."

Having recorded over 45 albums, singer-songwriter NOEL PAUL STOOKEY has been altering both the musical and ethical landscape of this country and the world for decades—both as the “Paul” of the legendary Peter, Paul, and Mary and as an independent musician. Funny, irreverently reverent, thoughtful, compassionate…his vocal sound is known all across this land. Raised in the Midwest, he played electric guitar in his high school Rock ’n’ Roll band and hung out at an R&B record shop.

At 20, he moved to New York City, looking for independence, but found “Peter” and “Mary” and a career that took on a life of its own, with their first album at the top of the charts for two years. Since then, he has performed in intimate coffeehouses, at the White House and in massive stadiums.

Hosted by GRAMMY Museum Executive Director BOB SANTELLI, hear Stookey speak about his prolific songwriting career, the iconic “Wedding Song,” his eternally fresh musical outlook and the making of his most recent album, “One and Many,” which once again revealed his gift for connecting diverse contemporary concerns to inspired musical performances. 9 pm  LYNDA KAY, THE BLUE HAWAIIANS, and SONS OF MIDNIGHT from Australia, play the monthly Coffin Case series at Three Clubs, 1123 Vine St, Hollywood 90038 (cross street is Santa Monica Bl.)

Lynda Kay at 9 pm sharp, The Blue Hawaiians at 10 pm, Sons of Midnight (from Australia!) at 11 pm. Doors at 8. Get there early, it gets packed. No cover, free parking, and both those freebies are a rarity in Hollywood.
