Through January, in L.A.:
"JOHN FOGERTY: WROTE A SONG FOR EVERYONE," is the wonderful temporary exhibition at the Grammy Museum in Los Angeles, on display through this month. It features artifacts from his personal collection, and it is named after his current album, hailed by fans and critics alike. John Fogerty’s music was considered rock when he first made it with CREEDENCE CLEARWATER REVIVAL, but, current and retro, it’s classic roots-rock-Americana now. The album received a rare 5-star lead review in Rolling Stone. Included with regular museum admission, which also includes the temporary exhibition, “RINGO: PEACE & LOVE.”

In his latest searing documentary, investigative filmmaker Robert Greenwald examines the tragedy of the innocent victims of U.S. drone strikes in Pakistan. The Brave New Films production tells the stories of the drone strike death of 16-year-old Tariq Aziz three days after he testified at an Islamabad conference about the killing of his cousin; Rafiq ur Rehman, who suffered the loss of his mother and hospitalization of his children from a drone attack; and Brandon Bryant, former USAF drone sensor operator. Legal questions and geopolitical ramifications surrounding the drone program are analyzed via candid, in-depth interviews with top government and military officials and noteworthy authors and journalists.

In ARTIST'S ENTRANCE, Tracy Newman takes you inside the songs of Richard Goldman. I've been friends with Richard since the 1970s. He's a great songwriter and I thought many of our fans might enjoy a night at The Talking Stick Venice devoted to him. Richard is also a copywriter. A lot of the movie and TV show posters out there have his taglines. You can see some of them at http://youtu.be/t2rplNTKvXQ. I'm in awe of the mind that can come up with those things, like for the Will Smith movie I Am Legend "the last man on earth is not alone." Cool. I'll interview him, ask him about certain songs, he'll sing them, either alone or with his wife, Christie Mellor (http://www.christiemellor.com/). There might be other surprise guests. It will be very relaxed, but structured. I might sing a few tunes myself. My band will be on hand. I've been wanting to do this for some time, and 2014 seems like the right year.
