Friday: musically broad, plus theatre, film screenings, and some NEWS ~ Feb 7 2014

.
The WINTER OLYMPICS will cause some of us to disappear for the next two weeks. But life and music do go on, and your favorite venues (and the artists performing in them) will be thrilled to see you. As always, we provide the gentle nudge to get you out of your after-work comfy chair, and into a seat that faces a stage.

February 7 in History…

It’s “CHARLES DICKENS DAY” because it’s his birthday (1812).

It’s also the birthday of “Little House on the Prairie” author LAURA INGALLS WILDER (1867).

And it’s the day after “Weather Persons Day,” when, appropriately, it rained.
