“CELEBRATE THE RAIN PLAYLIST” ~ March 2 2014
.
The Guide brings you this short special edition, in advance of today's full edition, due shortly.
What better than appropriate music to celebrate the welcoming return of rain to Southern California amidst a record drought?
RUSSELL PARIS, co-founder and co-host with wife Julie of the renowned “RUSS & JULIES’ HOUSE CONCERTS” series in Agoura Hills (west of Thousand Oaks, California) spent part of his day Saturday compiling a hefty playlist. Much of it is Folk-Americana, and plenty of that is acoustic tracks.
Russ’ list received additions from numerous others, including the Guide’s editor. Here’s the list, as Russ created it, followed by the compiled additions. It’s a great mix of music that’s iconic, and music you should explore.
With sporadic showers predicted through Sunday, and reports of downpours in some places, even as we publish this, you might yet be able to give yourself a soundtrack to accompany the pitter-patter (or thunderous roar) of raindrops on your roof.
