FESTIVAL,
in Santa Clarita:
10 am-6 pm  Annual "SANTA CLARITA COWBOY FESTIVAL" has lots of changes this year that include nighttime concerts in four different venues in Newhall (Santa Clarita); headliners are Ian Tyson, Don Edwards, Waddie Mitchell, Dave Stamey, and Sons of the San Joaquin; plus Chris Isaacs, The Haunted Windchimes, Kristyn Harris, Mikki Daniels, and plenty more, with an expansion in western swing and rockabilly acts. 7 pm  "MUSIC FROM APPALACHIA TO THE BALKANS" with MOIRA SMILEY & VOCO, and the VARIMEZOV FAMILY BAND brings traditional American mountain music and Bulgarian folk music, all emphasizing folk harmony, stomp moves, and body percussion, presented by World Festival of Sacred Music at the Japanese American Community & Cultural Center's Aratani Theatre, 244 S San Pedro St, downtown Los Angeles 90012; 213-628-2725.
