Weekend festivals, May 6 & 7, 2017, one-by-one...
Here are the details on the "ECLECTIC MUSIC FESTIVAL & ART WALK" 2017.
Sat, May 6; 2017:
9th annual "ECLECTIC MUSIC FESTIVAL & ART WALK" is FREE and happens on several stages in South Pasadena, CA; www.theeclectic.rocks
✔ TIX: It's free.
✔ CAMPING: No.
✔ THE SCENE: It's the largest "Eclectic" yet, with 60 bands across 15 stages, some indoors, some outdoors, all free. Plenty of folk-friendly acoustic music, plus other genres — remember, they named this one "Eclectic Music Festival." This really fun fest always has nebulous start times, so go much earlier than the advertised and you'll catch more music, have more gallery browsing, and get more of the complimentary snacks in the little venues. One principal stage is right by the Gold Line light rail station, at 1121 Mission St, South Pasadena, CA 91030; the main indoor stage is in the concert hall of the Carnegie Library; the biggest outdoor stage is a fair-piece of a walk east on Mission St., with plenty happening along the way. Plus there are lots of smaller stages and gallery shows and receptions and exhibitions, some obvious, some tucked-away, within a few blocks surrounding the light rail station. Plenty of artsy venues have free snacks and beverages, in addition to the food vendors.
✔ NOTE 1: Go Metro Gold Line light rail and/or bus and receive a free commemorative event poster at the entrance – while supplies last. (Parking near the festival is free, but challenging.) Plan your trip on transit and get details at www.metro.net/discounts
✔ NOTE 2: Download before you go (it takes a while) -- FULL EVENT & MUSIC STAGE/PERFORMANCE PROGRAM, covering the full day, 3 pm-10:30 pm, at: www.theeclectic.rocks
✔ NOTE 3: 5-9 pm, at Ellen's Silkscreeening, 1506 Mission St, South Pasadena... "Stop in to see the Photographic Works ('Salones de Belleza Series') of our Own Operations Manager, Howard Norris.
