Yes, we're doing it again! This time, our TICKET GIVE-AWAY lets you WIN a pair of passes to the "LONG BEACH BAYOU & BLUES FESTIVAL from the Acoustic Americana Music Guide!

We have tickets available for Saturday, June 22 and Sunday, June 23.

Enter for either or BOTH days (if you win one pair, you are not eligible for a second pair.) We know some folks might only be able to go one day or the other, so only enter if you can claim and USE the tickets.

Contest is open NOW, and it CLOSES Thursday at 11 am PDT. Winners will be notified before Noon on Thursday. Each winner must supply their name as it appears on the photo i.d. they will use to claim their pair of tickets at the will-call window at the event.

Acclaimed as a popular family event, the Long Beach Bayou & Blues Festival brings both the party atmosphere and the food delicacies of a New Orleans Mardi Gras to Rainbow Lagoon Park.
+
There are two stages of music, one devoted to the blues, the other with first-rate zydeco and Cajun music, mostly bands from Louisiana that come here just to play the festival. There's continuous dancing on a large tent-canopy covered wooden dance floor at the Cajun-Zydeco Stage, a smaller wooden dance floor at the Blues Stage, and quick and easy dance instruction for all ages.

The festival boasts a festive costumed Mardi Gras-style parade, led each day by the New Orleans Traditional Jazz Band, and a colorful French Quarter marketplace with gumbo, crawfish etoufee, hush puppies, red beans and rice and other Cajun & Creole delicacies, plus coffees and desserts, and s beer garden.

Enter the crawfish or watermelon eating contests for the whole family.

The Kids' Bayou Tent has extensive children's activities that include making costumes, masks and umbrellas for the Mardi Gras parade, arts and crafts, storytelling, magic, sing-a-longs, kids' shows, and more. Plus, the Teen Corner has games and activities for older kids.

The event is presented by Benoit Entertainment Group, LLC. A portion of the profits benefit LALA (Louisiana to Los Angeles), a non-profit organization that raises educational funds for local youth to attend college.

LOCATION / PARKING / TRANSIT: Rainbow Lagoon Park, a green and spacious waterside events facility located on the North side of Shoreline Drive, is accesdible by Long Beach transit bus from the Metro Blue Line light rail, or easy to reach by car. It's between Shoreline Village Drive and Linden Avenue, adjacent to downtown Long Beach. Parking is available on the Marina Green Lot across from the park.

Tickets: Adults, $25/day-advance, $30/day-gate; Seniors (60+) and Students (18+): $20/advance, $30 at the gate; Young Person rate (ages 13-17): $15, Children age 12 & under are free. A VIP ticket is $65, and includes backstage access, seating, 1 meal and 2 drinks.
