THURSDAY: Afternoon Webinar, Fine Evening Music

.
Nearly all this was received late, but there's lots that's good...
.
1-1:30 pm (Pacific) online "MUSIC PRODUCTION CLINIC" from Berklee College of Music, by instructor STEPHEN WEBBER. He has 3 decades of industry experience. Sign-up, FREE, at https://www.berkleemusic.com/openhouse.signup/
.
TONIGHT...
.
8 pm FREE show with the DUNWELL BROTHERS was advertised as "Folk-Americana and bluegrass" at the Levitt Pavilion Pasadena. Well, the show is underway, it's past 8:30 pm, and we've been listening to over half an hour of British indie rock. NOT A HINT OF AMERICANA, FOLK OR BLUEGRASS. If you were thinking of coming, arriving late, be warned. Otherwise: Picnics welcome, no alcohol. Ride the Gold Line light rail to Memorial Park and you're right there. Bring beach chair or blanket; there's some seating; seniors get first pick.
.
8 pm JAMES LEE STANLEY and JAMES HURLEY share the evening at The Joint, 8771 W Pico Bl, L.A. Expect great stuff. $15 at the door.
.
8 pm BYRDS AND BEYOND with ex-Byrds JOHN YORK and BILLY DARNELL, plus bassist CHAD WATSON, at the Coffee Gallery Backstage in Altadena.
.
8:30 pm NEW WEST GUITAR GROUP, three young guitar virtuosos, plays Alva's Showroom in San Pedro; $20 suggested donation. Note: this is not the famous western group New West.
.
9 pm BUDDY ZAPATA plus THE DAMNGIVERS, with an opening set by RICH McCULLEY with ANNA MARIA ROSALES on mandolin and CARL BYRON on accordion, together make for quite a night at the Cinema Bar in Culver City. No cover, but but for cryin' out loud, bring money for the artists' tip jar. Tito's Tacos is just down the street if you're hungry...
.
.
MUCH MORE, waaaaay into the future, is in the Guide's August 10 edition, available right here on the same site.
.
MORE TOMORROW.
