+
California singer-songwriter Alice Wallace and Nashville-based Aussie artist 8 Ball Aitken are teaming up for a series of shows up the West coast in September, including this one.
+
Crimany! Aussie 8 BALL AITKEN is authentic -- a real-deal character who rattles the roof, stomps the planks, and gets his audiences whooping and hollering along in a frenzy of pure exuberance. He started work as a farm labourer aged fifteen, doing back-breakingly hard work on the mango and banana plantations of the Atherton Tablelands, a man's work for a boy's pay. A life-changing conversation with an Aboriginal elder, who told him he should pursue a career in music, convinced 8 Ball to pack his bags, grab his guitar, and leave the farm to meet his destiny.
+
8 Ball Aitken is touring with his new live one-man-band, sizzling hot live album, “Alive In Tamworth.” With his trademark electri-fried slide guitar, sense of humor, interactive 3D audience participation and swamp antics, he has come up with a barnstorming riot of a recording. Averaging 200 gigs a year these days, 8 Ball has performed at festivals and clubs throughout USA, Canada, Australia, and Europe. www.AliceWallaceMusic.com 2013 Best Live Band Nominee,OC Music Awards Southern California Folk,Country,Blues. Debut album "Sweet Madness" available on iTunes,Amazon and CD Baby.
+
Plus,
ALICE WALLACE usually works as a solo artist. She has spent a large part of 2013 on the road, after making music her full-time job earlier this year. Her blend of folk, country and blues is complemented by the more raucous, swampy blues of Australian native 8 Ball Aitken.
