We have tickets available for Saturday, June 22 and Sunday, June 23.

Enter for EITHER DAY or BOTH days (if you win one pair, you are not eligible for a second pair.) We know some folks might only be able to go one day or the other, so only enter if you can claim and USE the tickets.

Acclaimed as a popular family event, the Long Beach Bayou & Blues Festival brings both the party atmosphere and the food delicacies of a New Orleans Mardi Gras to Rainbow Lagoon Park.

There are two stages of music, one devoted to the blues, the other with zydeco and Cajun music. There's continuous dancing on a large tent-canopy covered wooden dance floor, and quick and easy dance instruction for all ages

The festival boasts a festive costumed Mardi Gras parade led each day by the New Orleans Traditional Jazz Band, and a colorful French Quarter marketplace with gumbo, crawfish etoufee, hush puppies, red beans and rice and other Cajun & Creole delicacies, plus coffees and desserts. With crawfish and watermelon eating contests for the whole family, the Kids' Bayou Tent has extensive children's activities that include making costumes, masks and umbrellas for the Mardi Gras parade, arts and crafts, storytelling, magic, sing-a-longs, kids' shows, and more. Plus, the Teen Corner has games and activities for older kids.

Tickets: Adults, $25/day-advance, $30/day-gate; Seniors (60+) and Students (18+): $20/advance, $30 at the gate; Young Person rate (ages 13-17): $15, Children age 12 & under are free. A VIP ticket is $65, and includes backstage access, seating, 1 meal and 2 drinks.

1st Annual "MAKE MUSIC LOS ANGELES" is a free event deriving from the French "Fete de la Musique" and "Make Music Pasadena," a pioneering US derivation.

Make Music Los Angeles is an all-day celebration of musical creativity that will take place throughout the entire county of Los Angeles. Many of the city’s sidewalks, parks, community gardens, and other venues will become the backdrop or stage for free concerts.

MMLA becomes a member of a global network of over 460 cities including New York, Pasadena, Denver, Palo Alto, Vancouver, Chicago, and 110 countries, in this tuneful celebration of the summer solstice. The concerts are free to the public.
