Sun, Nov 17, in Altadena:
7 pm  HOME BAKED, the new ensemble of folk veterans BC Cameron, Tholow Chan, and Dennis C. Brown, play the Coffee Gallery Backstage, 2029 N Lake Av, Altadena.
+
The three have combined their individual ingredients in a unique blend that bubbles with “down home” flavor. They tell us it's "a little bit of country, a pinch of folk, a dash of bluegrass, a sprinkle of Irish, and a smidgen of '40s," added to "a stock broth of comedy and originals."
+
They add, "Ya’ll come sit a spell... take yer shoes off… git you a hunk a pie and hang on,” as these three professionals of the music scene combine to deliver musical fun.
+
Venue impresario Bob Stane adds, "Bring a video camera or cell phone camera to record the physical amusements. You may wish to post them on Youtube or just keep the funny memories."
+
BC Cameron is a prolific songwriter. In 1975, she released a successful original single, "The Saga of CB Fever," and toured with her group,The Citizen Band. In 1978, she moved to Los Angeles, where she recorded an album with Cliffie Stone, performed in his Hometown Jamboree, and played The Ice House in Pasadena. The Movie / TV industry took her away from music for many years. She worked as an Assistant Director on several TV series --  Knot’s Landing, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, Spin City and Frasier. She’s always ready to play music and have a good time which makes her the trio's "Chef de Partie."
+
Dennis C. Brown began his career arranging music for commercials (Bank of America, Taco Bell, Honda, and International House of Pancakes), then he toured with Bobby Vinton, the Osmonds, and Raquel Welch. He appeared on Dukes of Hazzard and, with producer Snuff Garrett, played on two #1 Country hits for Shelly West and David Frizzell. After playing guitar for television composer Mike Post, Dennis started composing with Post, which led to arranging and composing on his own, first for the animated TV series Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and then a successful move to sitcoms that included Grace Under Fire, for which he composed the music and produced and arranged the theme song, the Beatles' Lady Madonna, sung by Aretha Franklin.
+
He spent five years each on Dharma and Greg and Still Standing, and is now in his 11th season on Two and a Half Men, and his 4th season on Mike and Molly.
+
Now, he's also mixing it up with HOME BAKED, playing guitar, mandolin, and bass.
+
Tholow Chan is enjoying a long career in music. In the '60s, he joined the local folk scene and formed a group called Aerial Landscape. They moved to L.A., signed with RCA and released two singles. He performed on many TV variety shows of the time and has worked with many legends of that era, including the Back Porch Majority, Randy Sparks (founder of the New Christy Minstrels), and he was house bassist at The Ice House when folk music reigned there. He tours with Jerry and Debbie Burgan (WE 5) and has toured with them for many years. He also works in bank executive management, and Bob Stane says, "since he handles all that dough, would that make him the Pastry Chef?"
