One is “MELODY RANCH MOVIE NIGHT” with a western-style dinner and screening of “3:10 TO YUMA,” starring legendary actor GLENN FORD. It includes a shopping bazaar for exclusive western wear, before dining under the stars. Tix for tonight’s event are $60 per person and include dinner, movie and a commemorative gift. + Tonight’s other event is a concert by DAVE STAMEY in the living room of silent movie star Wm. S. Hart; his house is a museum. A note is in order. Dave Stamey is one of the best songwriters working today, and he’s earned a trophy case full of awards to prove it. Surprisingly, he says, “We’ve never made it out to the East Coast, but apparently one of the songs got there, and via Texas, of all places. A country artist from down that way named Rodney Hayden recorded one of Dave’s signature songs, “Buckaroo Man,” and made it his first national release—and it debuted this last Saturday, April 14, at Fenway Park as the warm up song for RED SOX starting pitcher CLAY BUCHHOLZ. Apparently it will be Buchholz’s song for the entire 2012 season.
