Though the film will screen in just one place for a week, it screens TONIGHT ONLY everyplace else. And "everyplace" is just three L.A./O.C. theatres and one in San Diego.
.
In Torrance, it screens tonight only at 7 pm at the AMC Del Amo 16, 3525 Carson St; 310-921-2046.
.
LATE CHANGE: In Burbank, it opens FRIDAY for a week and will NOT screen tonight at 7 pm at the Burbank Town Center 8, 201 E Magnolia Blvd; 818-563-4901.
.
In O.C., it screens tonight only at 7 pm at the AMC Orange 30, 20 City Blvd, West Orange 92868; 714-769-4288.
.
In San Diego, it screens tonight only at 7 pm at the AMC Mission Valley 20.
.
Proceeds tonight, nationwide, go to a leading charity in Japan that is directly helping victims.
.
After tonight, only the Burbank venue will continuing to screen the film, where it will run for a week.
.
This is not some church-affiliated project. "Pray for Japan" was made by American documentary filmmaker STU LEVY, who was in Japan when the disaster struck. Levy is known as the creator of "TokyoPop," in addition to his other projects. But he makes it clear that this one is strictly for charity.
.
Learn more at www.prayforjapan-film.org where you can find a link to watch the trailer. And plan to catch the screening and, by attending, help the victims. To get some idea of the scale, 30,000 people were killed, 19,000 are still missing and 300,000 remain dislocated.
