Unless you're enjoying a live performance tonight, catch this on Turner Classic Movies on cable or satellite TV. It's ANDY GRIFFITH's four-star singing / guitar-playing / acting role in "A Face in the Crowd." The 1957 film was directed by ELIA KAZAN and co-stars PATRICIA NEAL. In it, the late Andy Griffith shows considerable depth musically and as an actor. The role is nothing like the affable sheriff from his TV show. It airs 10:45 pm to 1 am Pacific time, earlier in the East.
