Family, police seeking help finding missing violinist
VAN NUYS — A 54-year-old violinist who lives in Van Nuys went missing this week, and police and the musician's family asked the public to be on the lookout for him.
Robert Alan Korda was last seen around 3 p.m. Wednesday at his home in the 6500 block of Greenbush Avenue, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Family members told police Korda was scheduled to work at Gower Studios in Hollywood that day, but never showed up. The family also said it was out of character for Korda to have lost contact with his family.
Korda is white with gray hair and brown eyes and a goatee. He is 5 feet 5 inches tall, weighs about 135 pounds and wears eyeglasses.
He drives a white Geo Metro with California license plate No. 3GPJ453.
Anyone with information regarding his whereabouts was asked to call the LAPD's Missing Persons Unit at 213-485-5381 or 877-LAPD-24-7.
