Fri-Sun, Nov 6-8, in the OC:
6th annual “FOLK ALLIANCE REGION WEST - FAR WEST – CONFERENCE” at the Hyatt Regency, 17900 Jamboree Rd, Irvine, is “a welcoming place where artists in all stages of their careers connect with each other, as well as with concert programmers, house concert hosts, small venue owners, radio programmers and others in the business of promoting folk and acoustic music.” They “celebrate all types of folk and acoustic music, always with a strong vein of tradition flowing through our programming as we honor and provide education about the roots of folk music and dance.” FAR West president Steve Dulson says, “Many who come to our conferences leave saying they've found their tribe - and it's no wonder.”
