The show celebrates the same-day release of his much-anticipated new album "Wrote a Song for Everyone." Plus, May 28 is also the birthday of the Grammy Award-winning and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee.

A limited amount of pre-sale tickets for this intimate show became available Tuesday, May 14 to members of FOGERTY’s fan club via his website, www.johnfogerty.com.

The new album, on Vanguard Records, is a celebration of the iconic songbook of one of rock’s most important artists. John Fogerty is a national treasure who’s sold over 100 million albums.
+
Produced by the artist himself, who is no stranger to the most intricate layering and nuances of music and sound, the album is a collection of 12 classics and deep tracks from his CREEDENCE CLEARWATER REVIVAL and solo material, plus two brand new solo songs.
+
Fogerty's stellar band, with BOB MALONE on keys and JAMES INTVELD on guitar, recorded the new album with him and will perform this concert.
+
All the classic tracks from his remarkable canon of hits were recorded this time around in collaboration with today’s biggest stars from the country, pop and rock worlds. This is Fogerty's ninth studio solo album since disbanding Creedence Clearwater Revival.
+
Mixed by Bob Clearmountain, it was recorded in Los Angeles and Nashville -- except for one special location --"Proud Mary" was recorded in New Orleans with Allen Toussaint and the Rebirth Brass Band.
+
Forgerty recorded “Fortunate Son” with Foo Fighters at their 606 Studio using "the" legendary Neve recording console featured in the #1 iTunes documentary, "Sound City."

Of course, there are tales to be told about each track. (We only wonder why he chose to include the abominable Kid Rock in such a fine project.)

Pete Henry and Jeff Omidvaran attended the Coachella Music Festival in 2012, where they decided the time had come to combine their passions and creativity to form a band that would eventually become HIYA!

Jeff, from Albuquerque, New Mexico, started playing guitar at age 12 and followed his artistic desires to California. Pete, too, picked up the guitar in his pre-teens and aggressively pursued his love of the instrument through the Music program at UC Irvine.

Ashley Nguyen, having collaborated with Pete in a prior ensemble, was brought on board to sharpen the trio with a unique sensibility and vibrant vocal character. Gerry, the savvy percussionist of the band, filled in nicely,allowing the group's music to really take shape and move the spirit. Ashley hails from the San Francisco Bay Area as a passionate music lover and singer. Gerry carries the percussive rhythm, effectively rounding-off the unique diversity of this self-proclaimed "Urban Folk" band. Tix, $15.

His Uncle MOE KEALE, and cousin ISRAEL "IZ" KAMAKAWIWO'OLE are ultra-famous names in Hawai'ian music.

MICHAEL KEALE has been entertaining audiences throughout Hawaii and the Mainland U.S. with his own special brand of traditional and contemporary Hawaiian music, American standards, and Jazz. Michael's velvety smooth vocals and soothing melodies share the "Spirit of Aloha."
+
Michael and friends present a wonderful evening of music, hula, and storytelling. He uses ukulele and guitars with both regular and slack-key tunings. As he asks in Hawai'ian Creole English (aka Pidgin), "Whatchu waiting fo' ?"
+
In his own way, Michael’s uncle, Moe Keale, was saying, “The world needs to hear the gift of your voice and experience your aloha." The words still ring in Michael's ears to this day. But until recently, Michael never looked upon those qualities as gifts; singing with his heart was just something that he had always done.

Two of Michael’s cousins, Skippy and the late Israel (‘Iz’) Kamakawiwo‘ole, joined to form the M'KAHA SONS OF NI'IHAU, one of the most beloved groups of their generation. ‘Iz’ eventually set-out on his own and became a phenomenon with songs like "Over the Rainbow" and "White Sandy Beach." Michael keeps his cousin Iz’s memory alive by performing his songs everywhere he goes.

Michael’s debut album, "Remember," was released in July, 2010. Featuring Michael’s crooning and silken bass vocals, "Remember" received positive response from fans for its mix of music from Hawai‘i’s past and present. Songs like “‘Ahulili”, and “Kamalani O Keaukaha,” as well as traditional English standards such as “Waik’k?” and “The Way You Look Tonight,” earned Michael two prestigious "N’ H’k? Hanohano Award" nominations in 2011 for “Island Album of the Year” and “Most Promising Artist.”

Michael has entertained at Waik’k's Royal Hawaiian Hotel and at the Moana on the Terrace Stage, where Aunty Genoa Keawe herself entertained people from all over the world. (The Moana was the first hotel on Waikiki Beach, built in 1901, and the Guide recently ran a feature story on an aspect of its unique musical heritage -- John Phillip Sousa and Bill Tapia -- and it's still available in the sidebar, at left.)

Mark Morris is the Festival's 2013 Music Director.

The Mark Morris Dance Group (MMDG), formed in 1980, gave its first concert that year in New York City, and has maintained a vigorous touring schedule ever since.

MMDG Music Ensemble, formed in 1996, performs with the Dance Group throughout the season at home and on tour.
+
American String Quartet and its members Peter Winograd, violin; Laurie Carney, violin; Daniel Avshalomov, viola; and Wolfram Koessel, cello; are internationally recognized as one of the world’s foremost quartets.

TheBadPlus and its three members, Reid Anderson, Ethan Iverson and David King, have, for the past ten years, broken-down the walls of jazz convention.

Colin Fowler, piano / organ virtuoso, hails from Kansas City, Kansas and began studying piano at the age of five. The Interlochen Arts Academy, academic honors and fame followed.

Gamelan Sari Raras, founded and co-directed by Midiyanto and Ben Brinner, is an ensemble in the Department of Music at U.C. Berkeley. (Gamelan is a music form from India.)

Ethan Iverson is best known as one-third of The Bad Plus (TBP), a game-changing collective with Reid Anderson and David King, celebrated by the New York Times.

redfishbluefish, founded 15 years ago, is called, by The New York Times, a “dynamic percussion ensemble from the University of California.”

Eva Soltes, filmmaker / performing arts producer has, over the course of her decades-long career, produced, directed and / or written nearly one thousand music, dance, and theater productions.

Yulia Van Doren, Russian-American soprano, is consistently singled-out by critics for her “perfect baroque voice” (Seattle Times), and has established herself as a rising star.

Jamie Van Eyck, young American mezzo-soprano, brings polished, elegant vocalism and committed dramatic portrayals on-stage, appealing to audiences and critics alike.

Douglas Williams, bass-baritone gets lots of press, as “The gifted young bass-baritone...” (Anthony Tommasini, The New York Times) combines a “formidable stage presence” (Seattle Times) with “a bass voice of splendid" calibre.

Each year, Garrison Keillor uproots his Minnesota-based radio program and its colorful cast of musical characters and takes the show on the road. They land in Los Angeles for one show at The Greek Theatre.

Currently in its 39th season, "A Prairie Home Companion" has made the fictional small town of Lake Wobegon part of American popular culture. The show is broadcast on more than 600 public radio stations nationwide, with a weekly audience of nearly 4 million listeners. The program is also heard on the American Forces Network Europe, the Far East Network, and in dozens of European cities via the Astra satellite network.

Garrison Keillor has been the host and writer of "A Prairie Home Companion" since the program started production in 1974. He has been honored with Grammy, ACE, and George Foster Peabody awards, the National Humanities Medal, and election to the American Academy of Arts and Letters.

In addition to radio's weekly PHC, Keillor hosts the daily program, "The Writer's Almanac."
+
His many books include "Lake Wobegon Days," "The Book of Guys," "Pilgrims: A Wobegon Romance," and his latest, "Guy Noir and the Straight Skinny" (Viking).

He is the editor of several anthologies of poetry, most recently, "Good Poems: American Places" (Viking). In 2006, Keillor played himself in the movie adaptation of his show, a film directed by Robert Altman (The Guide reviewed it). In 2007, he opened an independent bookstore, Common Good Books, in St. Paul, where he lives with his wife and daughter.
