+
THE BOTTLECAP BOYS, says venue impresario Bob Stane, “are pure, insatiable energy. Comprised of mandolin, fiddle, guitar and upright bass, this harmony-driven, high-octane, folk quartet plays with an invigorating optimism that is guaranteed to lift your spirits - challenge your face to push the borders of its smile!" See their magnetic camaraderie, feel their love for life, and hear their boot-stompin', string-pickin', blue sky-hollerin', renegade folk.”
+
Their infectious, music captures the freedom and vastness of middle America with a city pace. . Their freight train harmonies come barreling down the tracks, blowing by stories of ex-lovers and future lovers. They play with such a raw, exultant tenacity that you imagine they’re hollerin’ at the big blue sky with their feet planted firmly on greener pastures. Together, The Bottlecap Boys offer an atmosphere of care-free exuberance through their joyful charisma and camaraderie. In a relatively short time in the public eye, the Boys have demonstrated true showmanship and songwriting craft. www.thebottlecapboys.com.
+
The band is Ross Becker, Lukas Borsten, and Michael Raley on the upright bass, and classically-trained Adam Willumsen, adding sultry fiddle lines.

Plus,
THE DUSTBOWL REVIVAL is a Venice, California-based folk orchestra that merges old school gypsy rhythms with bluegrass, gospel, jug-band, jump blues and the hot swing of the 930’’s to form a spicy roots cocktail. Known for their fun, lose-your-troubles-and-start-moving live sets, the Dustbowl Revival plays what some call hillbilly jazz—the original front porch rock n' roll: Think The Hot Club of Cowtown meets Dylan and The Band meets Louis Armstrong in New Orleans. Growing steadily from a small string band playing local Southern California clubs (nearly a hundred shows in the last two years), DBR is now a collective of over ten musicians with instrumentation that often includes tuba, trombone, clarinet, cornet, trumpet, mandolin, banjo, lapsteel, drums, guitars, double bass, harmonica and plenty of washboard and kazoo for good luck. The band’s spontaneous, participatory set-lists assure that every show is a little bit different. More at www.dustbowlrevival.com & myspace.com/znlupetin.
+
The Dustbowl Revival does an amazing job of channeling a creative force from the past while making it truly their own as they performed for us…there is a genuine and very organic approach to their sounds. The band makes happy music, right to the core, leaving you with a smile on your face.” — Loudvine.com.
+
“It’s kind of ironic that in these days of economic recession that a band comes along that literally sounds as if it came wandering out of the dustbowl around the time of the Great Depression. Traditional music has never sounded so uplifting or fun to listen to.” – The Pop! Stereo.
