Things are off to an abundant start. This weekend offers an incredible number of festivals and concerts and more.

There is also one multi-day, non-festival event, Fri-Sun, Sep 28-30, in Ventura Co and Santa Monica, the "NEW WEST SYMPHONY MASTERPIECE SERIES" 18th season brings performances over three days to Oxnard Performing Arts Center, Thousand Oaks Performing Arts CPlaza, and Santa Monica High School. 7:30 pm The CHARLIE DANIELS BAND plus 38 SPECIAL and THE OUTLAWS play the "Grandstand Concerts" series at the Los Angeles County Fair's Fairplex in Pomona; www.fairplex.com. This is the Fair's final concert that will interest you this year, and one of the few Americana shows this time around. Some free tix for each concert are distributed at 3the pm on the day of the show; otherwise, tux range from $19.50-$100, plus the always high processing charges at www.ticketmaster.com.
