Written and directed by Rubicon’s Artistic Director James O’Neil, with Musical Direction and Arrangements by Dan Wheetman.

Singing the songs of Will Shakespeare -- and others -- “The Band that Won the West” meets “The Bard of Avon,” premiering COWBOY MUSIC from the author of Hamlet, "if that's possible," says Hamlet's Ghost. Alas! Hear lyrical tunes from "The Tempest," from "Romeo & Juliet." And Will (Ryan, not Shakespeare) adds, "not to mention, 'The Mousetrap!' 'Forbidden Planet!' 'West Side Story!'"

Ahh, clever. All those movies based on Will Shakespeare's long-ago works for the Globe Theatre's stage. All those movies that have signature theme music.

In sooth and verily, t'will be a spectacle not to be missed.

WILL RYAN is the winner of two Gold Records, BMI’s Pioneer Award, and more, and he is "The Official Singing Cowboy of Hollywood."

And it doesn't end there. The band members are pretty special, too.

JOHN “PRESTO” REYNOLDS, has been called "The Albert Einstein of the Strings," not that it can be equated with Shakespeare. “CHAPARRAL KATIE” CAVERA is, says Will (Ryan, not Shakespeare), "The Gibson Girl of the Gibson." And, of course he adds, "WILL SHAKESPEARE is the Westy Westenhofer of the Quill and the “Cactus Chloe” Feoranzo of the Stage."

“O, such a night of minstrelsy and revels!” raves Will (you know which one) on which "the band’s discovery of actual toe-tappin’ COWBOY SONGS written by the Bard of Avon will be performed by the Band that Won the West," says he. He adds, with a proper high-class fake British accent, "REALLY! You will be FLABBERGASTED, MIND-BOGGLED and DELIGHTED!"

And what of the band's Grammy-winning member, England’s “OXNARD” IAN WHITCOMB? Perhaps an appearance on his Digitized Plicated Atomizer? And there's inside indication that “The Rifleman”’s JOHNNY CRAWFORD will teach Will (Ryan...) and the band some rope tricks. And perhaps Will's stable of characters will include "the legendary" CONRAD CAYMAN and SLAPPY CHIPOTLE dropping by.
