The site features two stages, the Main Stage and the creatively named “Hillgrass Bluebilly” Stage both with hay bale seating, plus a kids area and food and beer courts.

A VIP option includes admission and the “Primal Alchemy Farm Lunch” for $40 ($42.39 with online service fee).

√  UNLIKE OTHER FESTIVALS:
No chairs, blankets, sheets, bikes, bottles, food, umbrellas are allowed. You can bring “one unopened bottle of water.” There is bike parking outside, and plenty of car parking. You can get there easily via Metro Blue Line light rail or MTA or LB bus.

“SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA PIPERS TIONOL” is a bagpiper / Uillean piper conclave “university” gathering that brings performances and workshops by EAMONN DILLON and PATRICK D'ARCY, at the Community Center, 30201 Outpost Rd, San Juan Capistrano 92675.

THE PUBLIC can attend the Saturday night concert (7:30-10:30 pm) and the tix for that are $20, online.

The full conference registration fee is $100.

Tionols happen in various other places, too. If you are a Celtic piper, you will want to attend. It begins with a Friday evening social gathering for attendees, before jumping into two intense days on Saturday and Sunday.

Just in time for the Holidays comes "Xmas Without China," Director Alicia Dwyer’s captivating film. It follows young Chinese immigrant Tom Xia, who challenges his Arcadia, California neighbors to refrain from purchasing gifts or products made in China. The neighboring Joneses take up the challenge, resulting in an examination of the American Dream and international relations that is both serious-minded and light-hearted.

As Thanksgiving draws near, along with the "Black Friday" launch of the holiday shopping season, Conscientious Projector offers this new documentary by local filmmakers who ask us to reconsider our gift-giving choices and their impact on our economy, both local and global.

A community discussion led by the film’s principals Alicia Dwyer and Tom Xia follows the film. The panel also featuring Alicia’s brothers Michael and Jesse, who worked on cinematography and sound, respectively.

Admission is free and the facility is accessible to disabled persons. This is a quality series that other communities can wish they had.

7:30-10:30 pm  “THE VOICE IS A TRAVELER” three-day Singing & Body Percussion Workshop by MOIRA SMILEY (VOCO) is designed for you to learn six songs in three days; it’s her “L.A. Singing Workshop #3,” and it’s in the Hollywood Hills at the Besant Lodge, 2560 1/2 N Beachwood Dr 90068.

Three evenings are each 7:30-10:30 pm. Option to choose being a 'Half' participant and attend two evenings. Doors at 7 pm.

Each session includes: a tool-kit of vocal warmups and performance techniques to expand your singing voice and performance abilities; learning the six traditional folk-songs from three harmony traditions -- Appalachian, Bulgarian or Croatian 3-part harmony; and the accessible-to-all art of body percussion.

Moira Smiley, singer-composer, travels the world as a soloist and creates new work for dance, theatre and film. Her voice can be heard on a wide variety of media, including feature films, television (BBC, PBS), NPR, and on over 40 recordings. She was recently featured at the national TED Conference, on KPCC's "Off-Ramp", and on ABC Australia's "Books & Art" national radio program.

Includes downloadable study mp3 and pdf files sent a week ahead of time, to practice with, and between sessions. Culminates in an informal sharing session on Saturday.

Michael is the only guitarist ever to win First Prize in the world's top competitions in both the Classical and Fingerstyle genres; the Guitar Foundation of America International Classical Guitar Competition and the National Fingerstyle Championships at the Walnut Valley Bluegrass Festival in Winfiled , Kansas. His performances, played on both steel string and classical guitars, include musical styles ranging from blues to Bach to country to rhythm n'. In the 80's and 90's Michael proved himself to be one of the worlds finest classical guitarists; twice winning the coveted National Endowment for the Arts Solo Recitalist Grant, and taking First Prize in both the Guitar Foundation of America's and the Music Teachers National Association's Guitar Competitions. He also won the Silver Medal in Venezuela's VIII Concurso International de Guitarra "Alirio Diaz".
