The site features two stages, the Main Stage and the creatively named “Hillgrass Bluebilly” Stage both with hay bale seating, plus a kids area and food and beer courts.

√  UNLIKE OTHER FESTIVALS:
No chairs, blankets, sheets, bikes, bottles, food, umbrellas are allowed. You can bring “one unopened bottle of water.” There is bike parking outside, and plenty of car parking. You can get there easily via Metro Blue Line light rail or MTA or LB bus.

“SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA PIPERS TIONOL” is a bagpiper / Uillean piper conclave “university” gathering that brings performances and workshops by EAMONN DILLON and PATRICK D'ARCY, at the Community Center, 30201 Outpost Rd, San Juan Capistrano 92675.

Each session includes: a tool-kit of vocal warmups and performance techniques to expand your singing voice and performance abilities; learning the six traditional folk-songs from three harmony traditions -- Appalachian, Bulgarian or Croatian 3-part harmony; and the accessible-to-all art of body percussion.

Moira Smiley, singer-composer, travels the world as a soloist and creates new work for dance, theatre and film. Her voice can be heard on a wide variety of media, including feature films, television (BBC, PBS), NPR, and on over 40 recordings. She was recently featured at the national TED Conference, on KPCC's "Off-Ramp", and on ABC Australia's "Books & Art" national radio program.

The Hardly Sisters -- this is Lisa Vig and her long-time acoustic band. There are at least three very distinctive singers inThe Hardly Sisters. Leslie Barker and her brother Tim are also singers, blending into three unique voices. Add Tim Barker's powerful guitar and Greg Dibene's steady bass, you've really got a big beautiful sound.

Jeff Gold and Friends -- Jeff has a new CD, 'Streets Cracked.' Jeff was right in the thick of things in New York City when what we know as Contemporary Folk was being born. Amazing singer-songwriters were bumping up against each other then in The Village, and Jeff was a prime-mover. His song-circles are legendary, as are his many wonderful songs.

Tony, born in Scotland to an Irish family, has a flourishing solo performing career as well as being a hugely in-demand session guitarist who has played with Phil Cunningham, Kevin Burke, Natalie McMaster and many others. Though he does not sing, his music exhibits a strong, moving passion that is an absolute pleasure to see and hear.

Caltech's folk music bookers Rex and Nick add, "He does not confine himself to Celtic music and he includes other European traditional material as well. His latest recording, 'Mysterious Boundaries,' shows that his huge talent has no boundaries, as he tackles the classical music of Bach, Couperin, Monteverdi, Satie, and Granados with wonderful results.

This thing is crazy popular and it's no wonder, with talent on board like fellow musician Dale LaDuke, a favorite of mine. And the panel of celebrity judges includes Keegan-Michael Key. You get a lot of entertainment for your 20 bucks, and reservations are highly recommended."
