Today in history…

On January 15 in 2009, the "Miracle on the Hudson" happened as Capt. CHESLEY "SULLY" SULLENBERGER landed US Air Flight 1549 in the Hudson River after bird strikes disabled both engines. All aboard survived with only one serious injury. "Sully" has continued with his calm voice, becoming an advocate for reforming industry standards for all cockpit crews, to set maximum and minimum hours of flying per month and continuous flight simulator training.
